It all started as one of those things you
say when you are sitting around a campfire, staring hypnotized
into the fire.
- "We should do this again... but in Africa!"
That
campfire was in a national park in Tasmania where we were enjoying a two
week 4wd safari. I guess thats the kind of environment that inspires the
"totally-insane-ideas" -centre of your brain. Its a little bit
unclear who actually said it, but I know that none of us really realized
what we had just started.
7 months past, before we took the real decision to go through with this
monster project. Many facts had to be considered. Money, time, work, studies,
family are all factors that can easily become obstacles when planning
a trip like this. But sooner or later you have to get to that point where
you either let the dream stay a dream, or you say -"Lets just do
it!
It was very easy to come up with the idea to go to Africa. Many people
dream about things like this their whole life. Yet not many people go.
The hard part is to decide to really do it. To let the dream become reality.
Once that is done, the rest is just a step-by-step process.
There are still a lot of steps to go, but we have made up
our minds. We are going!
